These naturally-dyed handmade napkins are constructed from medium-weight raw silk. The napkin has a gentle drape and a wonderful nubby texture with a fringed edge finish and a single stitch.

The raw silk has been dyed to a vivid yellow hue with Maclura pomifora (Osage Orange). Osage Orange is a hardy deciduous tree and a member of the fig family. This species is originally native to the US. You might know it as a hedge apple tree with its distinctive softball-sized lime-green fruit and bubbly texture.
